Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Both the Free plan and the 14-day Standard and Professional trials start with just an email address — no card required up front.
What happens when my trial ends?
If you don't add a payment method, your account automatically drops to the Free plan. Your devices and history stay put — we just limit active backups to 5 devices.
Can I restore a config to a device?
IronDiff is read-only by design — we back up and diff, we never push configs to your gear. You can export any historical config and restore it manually through your normal change process.
Can I upgrade/downgrade anytime?
Yes. Change plans at any time from the Cloud Portal. Billing is prorated automatically and your history carries over.
How does Enterprise pricing work?
Enterprise is priced per device and scales with the size of your fleet. Tell us how many devices you plan to back up and we'll quote a flat monthly rate. Contact sales for a number.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Passwords, keys, and other secrets are redacted from your configs on the local agent before they leave your network. Raw backup archives are then protected with Zero-Knowledge encryption using a master key generated on your agent that never leaves your network.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export your full backup history at any time from the Cloud Portal. If you cancel, we retain your encrypted archives for 30 days so you can re-activate, then they're permanently purged.
Do you offer MSP or volume pricing?
Yes. All plans include unlimited client environments and sites. MSPs over 200 devices move to Enterprise, which is priced per device — the bigger your fleet, the lower your per-device rate. Contact sales for a quote.
